Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-Southeastern-Louisiana is seeking a Production Lead to oversee day-to-day store operations and production performance, ensuring budget goals are met while adhering to company standards.

You will supervise associates, maintain back-room safety, and help present a positive public image through a clean, organized store. Flexibility includes nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
• Experience in service industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• To reach production goals guidelines (minimum of 110 garments per hour with a minimum 90% quality).
• Ensure proper production of donations for store floor readiness.
• Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees in all aspects of performance.
• Produce donated goods in the backroom adequately and maintain a presentable store environment.
• Maintain safe and appropriate back-room conditions.
• Keep the store clean and hazard-free (vacuuming, mopping, dusting, bathrooms).
• Observe personnel and safety policies to ensure compliance by associates.
• Be able to perform duties of Production Associates.
• Attend scheduled shifts as assigned by the manager.

Responsibilities:

Toassistwiththeday-to-daystoreoperationandproductionperformancetomeetorexceed budgetwhileincompliancewithcompanystandards,policiesandprocedures.AProduction LeadperformsthedutiesofasupervisorwhenassignedbytheStoreManagerorProduction Manager.ProductionLeadsmayactinasupervisorycapacityduringscheduledworkhours.

• 1. Toreachproductiongoalguidelines(minimumof110garmentsperhourwitha minimum quality standard of 90%).
• 2. Toensureproperproductionofdonationsgetprocessedandreadytoputonthestorefloor.
• 3. Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessionalperformance.
• 4. Toproducedonatedgoodsinthebackroomadequately.Tocreateapositivepublic image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays and presentable, personable personnel.
• 5. Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheback-roomarea.
• 6. Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)

Requirements:

• 1. HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.
• 2. Mustbeabletoread,writeandcommunicateclearlyinEnglish.
• 3. Priorworkexperience intheserviceindustrypreferred.
• 4. MustsuccessfullycompleteRetailtraining.

Working Conditions:

Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
