Job summary

Goodwill-Industries-of-Southeastern-Louisiana is seeking a Production Lead to manage daily store operations and production output. You will supervise staff, ensure donor processing is efficient, and uphold company standards for cleanliness and customer experience.

The role requires strong leadership, the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends, and a focus on safety and quality. You will model professionalism and support performance improvement across teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with some supervisory experience or 90 days in service industry.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Prior work experience in the service industry preferred.
• Retail training completion required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store operation and production performance to meet and exceed budget and comply with policies.
• Act as supervisor when assigned by Store Manager or Production Manager; perform duties of Production Associates as needed.
• Reach production goals (e.g., minimum garments per hour) and ensure donations are processed for store floor.
• Maintain safe and appropriate conditions in back-room areas and keep store presentable and hazard-free.
• Attend regular scheduled shifts and model professional behavior for employees and trainees.
• Encourage positive public image through store presentation and customer interaction.
• Ensure proper production workflow and adherence to safety and personnel policies.
• Provide leadership during shifts and support in achieving monthly and annual production targets.
• Interact professionally with a diverse group of people and motivate staff to perform their best.

Responsibilities:

Toassistwiththeday-to-daystoreoperationandproductionperformancetomeetorexceed budgetwhileincompliancewithcompanystandards,policiesandprocedures.AProduction LeadperformsthedutiesofasupervisorwhenassignedbytheStoreManagerorProduction Manager.ProductionLeadsmayactinasupervisorycapacityduringscheduledworkhours.

• 1. Toreachproductiongoalguidelines(minimumof110garmentsperhourwitha minimum quality standard of 90%).
• 2. Toensureproperproductionofdonationsgetprocessedandreadytoputonthestorefloor.
• 3. Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessionalperformance.
• 4. Toproducedonatedgoodsinthebackroomadequately.Tocreateapositivepublic image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays and presentable, personable personnel.
• 5. Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheback-roomarea.
• 6. Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)

Requirements:

• 1. HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.
• 2. Mustbeabletoread,writeandcommunicateclearlyin English.
• 3. Priorworkexperience intheserviceindustrypreferred.
• 4. MustsuccessfullycompleteRetail training.

Working Conditions:

Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
