Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Louisiana is seeking a Production Lead to oversee daily store operations and production performance, ensuring adherence to budgets and company standards. You will supervise as needed, act as a role model, and ensure donations are processed correctly for the sales floor.

The role requires flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends, with focus on teamwork and maintaining a clean, safe store environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.
• High school diploma or GED with supervisory experience or 90 days in service industry preferred.
• Retail training completion required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day store operations and production performance to meet or exceed budget.
• Produce donated goods in backroom and ensure readiness for store floor display.
• Act as a positive role model for employees and trainees in all aspects of performance.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in back-room and store areas; keep store hazard-free.
• Attend scheduled shifts and support production associates as needed.
• Ensure donations are processed properly and ready for sale.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities:

Toassistwiththeday-to-daystoreoperationandproductionperformancetomeetorexceed budgetwhileincompliancewithcompanystandards,policiesandprocedures.AProduction LeadperformsthedutiesofasupervisorwhenassignedbytheStoreManagerorProduction Manager.ProductionLeadsmayactinasupervisorycapacityduringscheduledworkhours.

• 1. Toreachproductiongoalguidelines(minimumof110garmentsperhourwitha minimum quality standard of 90%).
• 2. Toensureproperproductionofdonationsgetprocessedandreadytoputonthestorefloor.
• 3. Toactasapositiverolemodelforemployeesandtraineesinallaspectsofprofessionalperformance.
• 4. Toproducedonatedgoodsinthebackroomadequately.Tocreateapositivepublic image of Goodwill through a clean store environment, attractive displays and presentable, personable personnel.
• 5. Tomaintainsafeandappropriateconditions intheback-room area.
• 6. Tokeepthestorecleanandhazardfreebyvacuuming,moppinganddusting, (including cleaning the bathrooms.)
• 7. Toobservepersonnelandsafetypoliciesandprocedures.ToensurecompliancebyProduction Associates.
• 8. Tobeableto perform the jobduties ofthe Production Associates.
• 9. Toattendworkontheregularlyscheduledshiftsasassignedbythemanagerforthe week.

• 5. Mustbeabletoworkaflexiblescheduleatshortnotice,includingnightsand weekends, and occasionally, long hours.
• 6. Mustbeabletouserepetitivehandmovementwhenbuttoning,sorting,hangingand zipping garments.
• 7. Mustbeabletoengageinprolongedstanding,walkingandinfrequentbending, stooping, and stretching.
• 8. Mustbeabletofunctioninafast-pacedworkenvironmentwithoccasionalperiodsof high volume.

Requirements:

• 1. HighSchooldiplomaorGEDand6monthssupervisoryexperienceoraminimumof 90 days in the service industry.
• 2. Mustbeabletoread,writeandcommunicateclearlyin English.
• 3. Priorworkexperience intheserviceindustry preferred.
• 4. MustsuccessfullycompleteRetail training.

Working Conditions:

Frequent physical exertion, frequent movement, conditioned indoor temperatures with occasional exposure to outdoor temperatures and weather conditions. Alternate work schedule may include working at an attended donation center with no prior notice.
