Finishing Group Leader, 2nd shift

We are seeking a full-time Group Leader for our Finishing Department. The candidate in this role must be able to operate finishing lines, including zinc plating and/or powder coating. The selected candidate must successfully complete screening requirements and a probationary period of 400 working hours. Please note that this position is part of a bargaining unit based on seniority principles; shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical operation of the lines
2. Electrical operation and set-up of the lines
3. Chemical analysis and evaluation
4. Chemical and metal additions
5. Minor line maintenance (excluding mechanical or electrical repairs)
6. Rack Maintenance
7. Troubleshooting of all of the above
8. Coordination with Maintenance and Production Personnel
9. Record keeping in accordance with ISO standards
10. Production tracking and data entry
11. Coordination of line operators' activities
12. Scheduling load and unload based on production needs and line efficiency
13. Demonstrate proficiency with test equipment as required
14. Perform finishing operator duties as needed
15. Other duties as assigned by management

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous manufacturing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Leadership experience
• Strong organizational and technical skills
