Finishing Group Leader, 2nd shift

We are seeking a full-time Group Leader for our Finishing Department. An associate in this role must be able to run the finishing lines, including zinc plating and/or powder coating. The candidate selected must successfully complete screening requirements and a probationary period of 400 working hours. Please note that this opportunity is part of a bargaining unit based on seniority principles, so shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical operation of the lines
2. Electrical operation and setup of the lines
3. Chemical analysis and evaluation
4. Chemical and metal additions
5. Minor line maintenance (excluding mechanical or electrical)
6. Rack Maintenance
7. Troubleshooting of all of the above
8. Coordination with Maintenance and Production Personnel
9. Record keeping following ISO standard procedures
10. Production tracking and recording/computer entry
11. Coordination of the activities of the line operators
12. Responsibility for load and unload scheduling based on production needs and line efficiency
13. Demonstrate proficiency in test equipment utilization as needed
14. Perform as a finishing operator as needed
15. Other duties as assigned by management

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience in a manufacturing environment

• Leadership experience
• Strong organizational and technical skills
