Job summary

RTX is seeking a Product Development Engineer to lead manufacturability efforts for PCB and CCA designs, guiding material selection, BOM decisions, and IPC guidance to optimize producibility. The role includes cross-functional collaboration with design, supply chain, and external suppliers to ensure cost, cycle time, and quality goals are met.

You will facilitate design reviews, mentor teammates, and coordinate supplier relationships while traveling to provide onsite support as needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Experience to include at least two of the following: PCB manufacturing; Circuit card assembly; IPC and MIL specifications and design guides.

Responsibilities

• Host and facilitate design reviews for PCB/CCA designs from inception to manufacturing.
• Provide supplier support including travel for onsite help and bridging RTX stakeholders with suppliers.
• Mentor teammates on circuit card assembly manufacturing and IPC specs.
• Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program need dates.
• Review drawing notes and Technical Data Package to ensure IPC adherence.
• Perform design for manufacturability analyses and BOM management for CCA.
