Job summary

RTX is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) to join the Hardware Engineering Team in the CPR department. You will act as the SME for manufacturability, focusing on PCB/CCA lifecycle, guiding design teams on BOM, terminations, and fabrication processes to improve yield and cost.

Travel to supplier sites for onsite support is expected. You will lead design reviews, coordinate with designers, supply chain, and program leadership, and mentor other PDEs to enhance manufacturing knowledge and

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in PCB manufacturing and circuit card assembly.
• Familiarity with IPC and MIL specifications and design guides.
• Must be eligible for U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Host and lead design reviews for PCB/CCA from inception to manufacturing.
• Provide supplier support, travel onsite, and drive issue resolution.
• Mentor teammates on circuit card assembly manufacturing and IPC specs.
• Drive design, procurement, and build schedules to meet program needs.
• Create drawing notes and review TDP to ensure IPC compliance.
• Perform design for manufacturability analyses and BOM management.
