Job summary

RTX is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) in Tucson, AZ, focusing on PCB/CCA manufacturability. You will influence design decisions, lead cross-functional teams, and coordinate with suppliers to meet program goals.

Ideal candidates bring a STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience and strong IPC/MIL knowledge. Onsite role with opportunities to travel to supplier sites and lead critical design reviews.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience to include at least two of the following: PCB manufacturing, circuit card assembly, IPC and MIL specifications and design guides.

Responsibilities

• Host and facilitate design reviews for PCB/CCA from inception to manufacturing.
• Provide supplier support including travel for onsite, and coordinate between RTX stakeholders and suppliers.
• Mentor teammates on circuit card assembly manufacturing and IPC specs.
• Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program needs.
• Review Technical Data Package and generate drawing notes to ensure IPC compliance.
• Perform design for manufacturability analyses and manage BOM for optimal CCA production.
