Job summary

RTX is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) in the United States (Tucson area) to lead manufacturability for PCB and Circuit Card Assembly designs. You will own design reviews, liaise with suppliers, and mentor peers to optimize BOMs, materials, and processes.

Expect travel for onsite supplier support as needed. You will guide teams on IPC specs, participate in cross-functional discussions, and drive projects from inception to production, ensuring cost, schedule, and quality objectives

Qualifications

Requires degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
Experience to include at least two of: PCB manufacturing, Circuit card assembly, IPC and MIL specifications.
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government clearance is required.

Responsibilities

Host and facilitate design reviews from inception to manufacturing of PCB/CCA designs.
Provide supplier support including travel for onsite support and facilitate communication between RTX and suppliers.
Mentor teammates on circuit card assembly manufacturing and IPC specs.
Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program need dates.
Generate drawing notes and review Technical Data Package (TDP) for IPC compliance.
Perform design for manufacturability analyses and BOM management for CCA.
