Job summary

RTX is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) to advance PCB and Circuit Card Assembly manufacturability across multiple programs. You will lead design-for-manufacturability efforts, influence BOM choices, and collaborate with design, supply chain, and suppliers to deliver producible hardware.

As SME on PCB/CCA production, you will mentor teammates, drive schedules, host design reviews, and ensure IPC/MIL compliance while working onsite with suppliers to resolve issues and improve program

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with PCB manufacturing or circuit card assembly.
• Familiarity with IPC and MIL specifications and design guides.

Responsibilities

• Host and facilitate design reviews, taking PCB/CCA designs from inception to manufacturing.
• Provide supplier support, travel onsite, and coordinate between RTX stakeholders and suppliers.
• Mentor teammates on PCB/CCA manufacturing knowledge and IPC specs.
• Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program needs.
• Generate drawing notes and review Technical Data Package to ensure IPC adherence.
• Perform design for manufacturability analyses.
• Develop and manage BOM for optimal CCA manufacturing and rework.
