Job summary

RTX is seeking a Product Development Engineer to join the Hardware Engineering Team in Tucson, AZ. The PDE will act as an SME for manufacturability of PCB/CCA, guiding design teams on BOM components, finishes, placement, and IPC specs to maximize producibility and cost efficiency.

You will lead design reviews, coordinate with suppliers and RTX stakeholders, travel onsite as needed, and mentor other PDEs to improve processes across programs while maintaining security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with PCB manufacturing, circuit card assembly, and IPC/MIL specs is expected (choose at least two).
• U.S. citizenship or eligibility for DoD clearance is required and security clearance is active or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Host and facilitate design reviews for PCB/CCA from inception to manufacturing.
• Coordinate with suppliers and RTX stakeholders for on-site support and issue resolution.
• Mentor teammates on circuit card assembly and IPC standards.
• Lead design-for-manufacturability analyses and manage BOM for optimal CCA manufacturing.
