Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ seeks a Product Development Engineer to optimize PCB/CCA manufacturability across programs. You will lead design reviews, coordinate with design, supply chain, and external suppliers to ensure producible hardware and on-time delivery.

The role requires deep IPC/MIL knowledge, experience with PCB/CCA processes, and willingness to travel onsite to support suppliers and programs. This position supports affordability, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience.
Experience to include at least two of the following: PCB manufacturing; Circuit card assembly; IPC and MIL specifications/design guides.

Responsibilities

Host and facilitate design reviews with a multi-disciplined team from inception to manufacturing of PCB/CCA designs.
Provide onsite supplier support travel, enable communication between RTX stakeholders and suppliers, and address defects and lessons learned.
Mentor teammates on circuit card assembly manufacturing and IPC specs.
Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program dates.
Generate drawing notes and review TDP to ensure IPC spec adherence.
Perform design for manufacturability analyses and BOM management.
