Job summary

RTX is seeking a Product Development Engineer (PDE) to join the Critical Item Production Readiness team in Tucson, AZ. You will lead PCB/CCA design reviews, drive design for manufacturability, and coordinate cross‑functional teams from concept to manufacturing to achieve schedule, cost, and quality goals.

A bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (STEM) is required by start date. You will travel to suppliers, review IPC/TDP notes, manage BOMs, and apply producibility and GD&T

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM major obtained by start date.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams or projects with ability to multi-task and establish schedule based on priorities.
• Self-starter that seeks to connect the dots between engineering disciplines and actively reaches out to SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Host and facilitate design reviews with PCB and CCA designs from inception to manufacturing.
• Drive design, procurement and build schedule to meet program need dates.
• Generate drawing notes and review Technical Data Package (TDP) to IPC specs.
• Perform design for manufacturability analyses.
• BOM development and management.
• Review supplier data and lessons learned to ensure product excellence.
• Travel to visit suppliers.
