Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to work at a customer location, delivering exceptional service by procuring products and materials that meet price, quality, timing, and supply reliability standards.

The role focuses on processing purchases, expediting orders as needed, and coordinating with suppliers and customers to ensure timely delivery in a dynamic supply chain environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years procurement experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service.
• Computer skills and aptitude with ERP and Inventory Management applications.
• Self-starter able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet customer demand in line with purchasing strategies.
• Expedite or de-expedite existing orders for optimal delivery.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and recommend vendors meeting specifications and cost targets.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of products; coordinate returns if needed.
• Follow up on order status with vendors and communicate with customers.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Resolve account payables nonconformance with suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for customer cost savings.
• Follow SOPs and maintain a professional worksite.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
