Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to operate at a customer location, ensuring procurement of products and materials that meet price, quality, and delivery standards. You will manage orders, coordinate with vendors, and support customers with timely information and problem resolution.

In this role, you’ll build supplier relationships, monitor order status, and uphold Vallen’s standards of service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years in procurement or related field preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills essential.
• Computer skills and ability to learn ERP and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Procure products and materials to meet current and anticipated demand.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders to optimize delivery timelines.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Assess vendors and items to ensure quality, pricing and delivery.
• Monitor and communicate order status to customers and vendors.
• Resolve supplier issues to maintain on-time delivery and accuracy.
• Maintain supplier relationships and document savings opportunities.
• Follow company SOPs and ensure a clean, professional worksite.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
