Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to work at a customer location, delivering exceptional procurement service and ensuring products meet price, quality, timing, and supply reliability standards.

You will perform procurement activities, place vendor orders, monitor delivery, and maintain supplier relationships while supporting cost-saving opportunities. A strong focus on accuracy and communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; procurement experience helps.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Comfort with ERP and Inventory Management software.
• Self-starter who can work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven organizational and execution abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to learn new processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet customer demand per strategies.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders for timely delivery.
• Create purchase requisitions and vendor orders.
• Assess vendors and items for specs, price, and delivery.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of supplied products.
• Follow up on purchase orders with vendors and customers.
• Maintain supplier relationships and manage accounts payable discrepancies.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities for customers.
