Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to join our on-site team at the customer location. You will manage procurement activities, purchase orders, and vendor relations to ensure price, quality, timing, and reliable supply.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and 1+ year procurement experience, with strong customer service, MS Office, and ERP/Inventory skills. Join a team that values initiative and collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in the field of Procurement preferred.
• Excellent customer service.
• Computer skills and aptitude to learn the ERP and Inventory Management applications.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with MS-Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to learn

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet customer demand and align with purchasing strategies.
• Assess orders to expedite or de-expedite for optimal delivery.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and recommend vendors to meet specs, price, and delivery standards.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of products and coordinate returns if needed.
• Follow up on purchase orders with vendors and communicate status to customers.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Research and resolve accounts payable nonconformance.
• Identify opportunities for customer cost savings.
• Follow all SOPs and maintain a professional worksite.
