Job summary

Join our exciting & dedicated team at Vallen as a Customer Service Representative (CSR). In this position, you will work at a customer location and are responsible for providing exceptional service to Vallen's customers by purchasing products, goods, and materials that meet the organization's exceptional standards of price, quality, timing, and reliability of supply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years of experience in procurement preferred.
• Excellent customer service.
• Computer skills and aptitude to learn ERP and Inventory Management applications.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail, organizational and execution skills.
• Proficiency with MS-Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet current and anticipated demand for products and materials.
• Assess existing orders to determine action for expediting or de-expediting for optimal delivery.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and assess vendors and items to ensure specifications, pricing and delivery standards.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of products and materials; coordinate returns or replacements as needed.
• Follow up on status of purchase orders with vendors and communicate to customers.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and assigned customers.
• Research and resolve accounts payables nonconformance with suppliers.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings for customers.
• Follow SOPs and keep worksite professional and neat.
