Job summary

Vallen is seeking a proactive Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support customers at their sites by procuring products and materials that meet price, quality, and timely delivery standards.

You will work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time, accurate orders, resolve issues, and maintain strong vendor relationships while supporting procurement processes and ERP systems. This role emphasizes detail, communication, and consistent performance in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in procurement preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet demand and align with purchasing strategies.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders to optimize delivery.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research and assess vendors to meet specifications and price.
• Monitor quality and timeliness; coordinate returns or replacements.
• Follow up on orders with vendors and communicate status to customers.
