Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) in the San Diego area to support customers with procurement of products and materials. You will manage purchase orders, coordinate with vendors, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining cost efficiency and high service levels.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This on-site position offers growth within an established distribution team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in Procurement preferred.
• Excellent customer service.
• Computer skills and aptitude to learn the various ERP and Inventory Management applications.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated strong attention to detail, organizational and execution skills.
• Proficiency with MS-Office products.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to learn

Responsibilities

• Procure products and materials to meet customer demand per purchasing strategies.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders to optimize delivery.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Evaluate vendors for quality, pricing, and delivery compliance.
• Monitor product quality and timeliness; coordinate returns/replacements.
• Follow up on PO status with vendors and communicate progress to customers.
• Resolve supplier payables nonconformance and document savings opportunities.
• Maintain supplier relationships and ensure SOP adherence.
• Ensure worksite is professional and neat at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
