Job summary

Vallen Distribution, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to provide exceptional service at a customer site in San Diego, CA.

The CSR will coordinate procurement activities to ensure on-time delivery of products and materials that meet price, quality, and reliability standards. Responsibilities include expediting orders, evaluating vendors, communicating status to customers, and maintaining supplier relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ year procurement experience preferred.
• Strong MS-Office skills and ability to learn ERP and inventory systems.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and execution abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; self-starter who can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Procure products and materials to meet customer demand and supplier standards.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders and place purchase requisitions/orders.
• Assess vendors for quality, price and delivery, and monitor supplier performance.
• Communicate order status and resolve issues with vendors and customers.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Follow SOPs and maintain a clean, professional worksite.
• Overtime may be required.
