Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Customer Service Representative to serve customers by purchasing products meeting price, quality, timing, and supply standards. The role emphasizes procurement activities, vendor coordination, and customer communication in a fast-paced environment.

The CSR will place requisitions and purchase orders, monitor deliveries, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining professional relationships with suppliers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; 1+ years in procurement preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn ERP and Inventory Management applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet customer demand and align with purchasing strategies.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders to optimize delivery.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Monitor vendor performance for quality, price, and delivery.
• Communicate order status to customers and resolve issues with vendors.
• Maintain supplier relationships and resolve payables/nonconformance.
• Identify cost savings opportunities and adhere to procedures.
• Work in a professional, safe, and neat work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
