Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Customer Service Representative to work at a customer location, delivering exceptional service while coordinating procurement of products and materials to meet price, quality, delivery, and reliability standards.

You will handle order expediting, vendor coordination, and communication with customers and suppliers, using ERP systems; the role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1+ years procurement experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems.
• Self-starter with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Willing to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Perform procurement activities to meet customer demand and align with purchasing strategies.
• Expedite or de-expedite orders to optimize delivery.
• Place purchase requisitions and vendor purchase orders.
• Research vendors to meet specs, price, and delivery standards.
• Monitor quality and timeliness of supplied products; coordinate returns if needed.
• Follow up on purchase orders and communicate status to customers.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities.
