Job summary

IDEX Corporation’s Mott division is seeking a Process Engineer to partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain and Project Engineering to develop and improve manufacturing processes. This role converts product and customer requirements into repeatable production methods that improve quality, delivery, cost, and customer experience.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, creating work instructions, leading transfers, and performing data-driven improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methods

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Two or more years of process, manufacturing, industrial, or related engineering experience preferred; internships or hands-on manufacturing experience may be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems using data and structured methods such as 5 Whys, cause‑and‑effect analysis, 8D, FMEA, or equivalent approaches.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to maintain safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets.
• Develop and maintain work instructions, standard work, routes, bills of materials, process detail sheets, control plans, and other records for repeatable production.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering and Supply Chain to evaluate manufacturability and transfer products to production.
• Collect and analyze process data; identify variation, bottlenecks, and waste; implement improvements using Lean and statistical methods.
• Create and implement process controls that meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
• Participate in root-cause investigations and corrective actions related to nonconformances and CAPA.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline
