IDEX is seeking a Manufacturing Manager at Mott to lead frontline manufacturing teams with a hands-on approach, mentoring and coaching for safety, quality, and continuous improvement. The role emphasizes developing people, optimizing processes, and driving cost and lead-time improvements in a 100% employee-owned environment.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in manufacturing with direct supervisory experience and a strong track record in Lean and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with a minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience.
• Prior direct supervisory or people-management experience.
• Demonstrated success in problem solving, project execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and track competency development of manufacturing operators.
• Manage daily workflow and staffing to ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Support and execute continuous improvement initiatives across all shifts, including equipment testing, training, 5S, automation, and process simplification.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork.
• Ensure effective communication across shifts, including structured handoffs of priorities and issues.
