Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide technical leadership for complex manufacturing processes and cross-functional initiatives. You will drive capability, safety, quality, and cost improvements while mentoring others and shaping engineering standards.

Responsibilities include leading projects from concept to production, designing advanced processes, and managing capital equipment and automation initiatives to enable scalable production across high-precision areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• Seven or more years of progressive process, manufacturing, industrial, or related engineering experience in a high-precision environment.
• Demonstrated ownership of complex processes or technologies and successful leadership of cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical performance and long-term capability of assigned processes or technologies.
• Lead cross-functional projects from concept through production implementation.
• Develop advanced process designs, control strategies, and qualification plans.
• Lead complex root-cause investigations with data analysis and statistical methods.
• Direct design-for-manufacturability reviews and production-scaling activities.
• Identify, justify, and implement capital equipment and automation solutions.
• Establish and improve engineering standards, documentation, and knowledge management.
• Mentor Process Engineers, technicians, and production personnel.
• Influence cross-functional priorities and communicate risks and progress to leadership.
• Lead continuous-improvement initiatives across manufacturing areas.
• Represent Process Engineering in customer, supplier, and technical discussions.
• Anticipate future capacity and roadmaps for improvements.
