Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Manufacturing Manager at the Mott facility to lead frontline manufacturing teams, mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement. This 100% employee-owned company emphasizes ownership, quality, performance, and innovation while fostering a safe, efficient, and engaging workplace.

The role collaborates with Value Stream Managers and cross-functional teams to reduce lead time, improve quality, control costs, and enhance the employee experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with minimum five years of manufacturing experience.
• Prior direct supervisory or people-management experience.
• Demonstrated success in problem solving, project execution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and track competency development of manufacturing operators.
• Manage daily workflow and staffing to ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality standards.
• Support and execute continuous improvement initiatives across all shifts, including equipment testing, training, 5S, automation, and process simplification.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, and teamwork.
• Ensure effective communication across shifts, including structured handoffs of priorities and issues.
