Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer in Wisconsin to manage injection stretch blow mold sampling, qualification services, and validation for new and rebuilt molds. You will optimize processes, coordinate with plant technical roles, and champion best practices across manufacturing operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, strong problem-solving abilities, and the ability to travel up to 75% to support plant startups and trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with customers.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with plastics packaging processing is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of mold samplings and qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize the molding process to meet dimensional limits at designed cycle times.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection/blow molding processes.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas including machine processing and tool design changes.
• Provide manufacturing support to solve production issues related to machine, process, tooling, or combinations.
• Support plants with equipment, process, capability studies and tooling qualifications/validations.
