Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to manage injection stretch blow mold sampling, qualification, and validation for new and rebuilt molds. You will coordinate with plant technical teams to support startups and drive process improvements toward dimensional and visual specifications.

You will document best practices, conduct DOE and capability studies, and train plant personnel in operation, control, and maintenance. Travel up to 75% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to understand, influence, drive and negotiate with internal and external customers.
• Strong management, communication and people skills required to influence and manage multiple resources.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of mold samplings & qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize the molding process to meet dimensional limits at the designed cycle time.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for defined injection or blow molding processes.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings.
