Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC seeks a Process Engineer to lead injection stretch blow mold sampling, qualification, and validation across new and rebuilt molds. You will collaborate with plant technical teams to support start-ups, perform DOE studies, and drive process improvements to meet dimensional and visual specs.

The role requires a mechanical or electrical engineering background, 5+ years in plastics packaging, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to understand, influence, drive and negotiate with internal and external customers.
• Strong management, communication and people skills required to influence and manage multiple resources, most of which do not report to the process engineer.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of mold samplings & qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize the molding process to meet dimensional limits at designed cycle times.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding processes.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings as required.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas and tool design changes.
