Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to oversee injection stretch blow mold sampling and qualification services, optimize molding processes, and document best practices across plants. The role will collaborate with plant technicians and quality engineers to support startups, validations, and tool issues.

Requirements include a mechanical or electrical engineering degree, five years in plastics processing, strong communication and problem-solving abilities, and travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external customers.
• Strong management and people skills.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Five years’ processing experience in plastics packaging.
• SPC experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of mold samplings & qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize the molding process to meet dimensional limits within designed cycle time.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding processes.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings as required.
• Train plant staff in technical areas including machine processing and tool design changes.
