Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to manage injection/stretch blow mold sampling, qualification services, and validation for new and rebuilt molds. You will collaborate with plant technical teams to support startups, validation, and corrective actions while driving process optimization and tooling improvements.

The role emphasizes documenting best practices, leading DOE studies, and sustaining standards across manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate.
• Proven management, communication and people skills to manage multiple resources.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Minimum of five years’ processing experience in plastics packaging preferred.
• Experience with SPC is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Mold samplings & qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional limits at designed cycle time.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding processes.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas as directed by management.
• Provide manufacturing support to solve production issues related to machine, process or tooling.
• Support plants with equipment, process and tooling qualifications/validations.
