Job summary

Amcor in the United States is seeking a Process Engineer to lead injection stretch blow mold sampling, qualification services, and validation for new and rebuilt molds. You will collaborate with plant technical teams to support startups, validate processes, and improve tooling and processes.

The role emphasizes optimization, DOE studies, and documenting best practices across facilities. Travel up to 75% may be required; strong mechanical/electrical engineering background and 5 years in plastics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers.
• Strong technical and problem-solving skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for mold samplings & qualification services on new, replacement or rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional limits at the designed cycle time.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for defined injection or blow molding processes.
• Train plant personnel in technical areas and support tooling design changes.
• Lead and support tooling qualifications/validations at vendor locations.
• Develop and maintain data resources related to packaging, machinery and processes.
