Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Process Engineer to manage mold sampling, qualification, and process optimization for new and rebuilt tooling. The role spans validation, data analysis, and collaboration with plant technicians and quality engineers to ensure products meet dimensional and visual specs.

The engineer will develop Master Process Sheets, lead DOE and process capability studies, and mentor teams while supporting plant operations and tooling upgrades as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience in plastics packaging and tooling is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years’ processing experience in plastics packaging.

Responsibilities

• Mold samplings & qualification services on new/rebuilt tools.
• Optimize molding process to meet dimensional limits at designed cycle time.
• Create and maintain Master Process Sheets for injection or blow molding.
• Attend project meetings, design reviews and tool specification meetings.
• Train plant personnel in machine processing and tool design changes.
• Support plant processes with equipment and capability studies.
• Establish Tools/Equipment qualification at vendor locations.
