Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a PRN Resident Assistant to support residents with daily personal care, companionship, and engagement in activities. You will work under the Director of Nursing to promote independence and well-being, while ensuring safety and dignity in daily routines.

Responsibilities include assisting with grooming, meals, vitals, and mobility, reporting health changes promptly, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant in a senior living or healthcare setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with common digital tools and applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) and EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs (grooming, hygiene, dressing, nutrition).
• Respond to signals and determine residents' needs using a proactive approach.
• Take and record vitals (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiration) as directed.
• Assist with mobility and transfers; help with dining and meals as needed.
• Encourage participation in activities and socialize with residents.
• Communicate with care team about health changes and concerns.
• Maintain a safe, clean living environment and follow care plans.
