Job summary

Cedarhurst Living is seeking a PRN Resident Assistant to support residents with dignity and independence, under the Director of Nursing. You will provide personal care, companionship, and encouragement in daily activities, while coordinating with the care team to monitor health status and follow individualized care plans.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, effective communication, and engagement in community life, with a focus on safety and respect for residents and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant in a senior living or healthcare setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, companionship, and daily living support to residents.
• Respond to signals and determine residents’ needs using a proactive approach.
• Monitor vitals as directed and assist with meals, mobility, and activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming living environment and communicate with the care team.
• Collaborate with staff and families to support residents’ wellbeing.
