Job summary

Cedarhurst Living is seeking a dedicated Resident Assistant to support residents’ dignity, independence, and quality of life through compassionate personal care, companionship, and proactive engagement in daily activities.

You will work closely with the care team to monitor health, support individualized care plans, and maintain a safe, welcoming environment while fostering relationships with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience as a resident assistant within a senior living community or healthcare setting preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with common digital tools including Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care needs (grooming, hygiene, nutrition).
• Respond to signals and determine residents' needs proactively.
• Record vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and supervision during activities.
• Support dining room transitions and meal assistance.
• Encourage participation in activities and engage residents in community life.
• Communicate observations to the care team and follow care plans.
