Cox Automotive seeks a Privacy Governance Senior Manager to lead a team of privacy engineers and advance the organization’s privacy program, with a primary focus on consent management, cookie governance, opt-out mechanisms, and privacy library maintenance.

The role partners with Privacy Legal, Data Strategy, Engineering, and Product to ensure privacy practices are technically sound and compliant, while onboarding brands and acquisitions into the centralized privacy program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in a privacy-related role or program.
• Demonstrated experience operating within or leading a privacy compliance program.
• Working knowledge of U.S. state privacy regulations.
• Experience with consent management platforms, cookie governance, and web tracking compliance operations.
• Technical understanding of tag management systems, cookie/pixel operations, and consent signal architecture.
• Strong cross-functional communication and influencing skills across legal, engineering, product, and executives.
• 10%+ travel requirement.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop a team of privacy engineers, ensuring operational excellence across CMP operations, cookie categorization, and privacy library maintenance.
• Serve as the technical subject matter expert for privacy engineering, providing guidance on architecture and design to direct reports.
• Oversee maintenance and evolution of Cox Automotive's privacy technology stack, including CMPs, tag management, cookie scanning, and data inventory tooling.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities and contribute technical perspective to privacy technology investments and make/buy decisions.
• Partner with Data Strategy and Engineering to integrate privacy-enhancing technologies into enterprise systems.
