Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Privacy Governance Senior Manager to lead the privacy engineering function, building and advancing consent management, cookie governance, opt-out mechanisms, and privacy library maintenance across the enterprise.

You will collaborate with Privacy Legal, Data Strategy, Engineering, and Product to ensure technically sound, regulation-aligned privacy practices and onboard brands/acquisitions into a centralized privacy program with privacy-by-design principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; 8+ years of experience; alternative combinations as specified in the job posting.
• Proven experience operating within or leading a privacy compliance program.
• Working knowledge of U.S. state privacy regulations.
• Experience with CMPs, cookie governance, and web-tracking compliance operations.
• Technical understanding of tag management, cookies/pixels, and consent signal architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of privacy engineers and oversee CMP, cookie scanning, and privacy library maintenance.
• Provide architectural guidance and maintain depth across privacy engineering domains.
• Oversee privacy technology stack and vendor evaluation for privacy investments.
• Partner with Data Strategy and Engineering to embed privacy tech into systems and workflows.
• Collaborate with Privacy Legal, Data Strategy, Engineering, and Product to align with regulations.
