Cox Automotive is seeking a Privacy Governance Senior Manager to lead a team of privacy engineers, oversee consent management and cookie governance, and drive privacy-by-design across product and engineering lifecycles. The role partners with Legal, Data Strategy, and Engineering to maintain a robust privacy program and integrate brands and acquisitions into a centralized privacy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8+ years in a related field.
• Experience operating within or leading a privacy compliance program.
• Working knowledge of U.S. state privacy regulations.
• Experience with consent management platforms, cookie governance, and web tracking compliance operations.
• Technical understanding of web tracking technologies including tag management systems, cookie and pixel operations, and consent signal architecture.
• Strong cross-functional communication and influencing skills with stakeholders.
• Strong program management skills in complex organizations.
• 10%+ travel requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of privacy engineers, ensuring operational excellence across CMP operations, cookie governance, and privacy library maintenance.
• Serve as the technical SME for privacy engineering, providing guidance and architectural feedback.
• Maintain technical depth to support continuity and reduce key-person risk.
• Oversee privacy tech stack including CMPs, tag management, cookie scanning, and data inventory tooling.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities and contribute technical perspective to privacy tech investments.
• Partner with Data Strategy and Engineering to embed privacy-enhancing tech into systems.
