Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Privacy Governance Senior Manager to lead privacy engineering and compliance across the enterprise. You will oversee a team of privacy engineers focused on consent management, cookie governance, opt-out mechanisms, and privacy library maintenance.

You will work with Legal, Data Strategy, Engineering, and Product to ensure privacy practices are technically sound and compliant. You will drive onboarding for brands and acquisitions, embed privacy-by-design principles,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 8 years' experience, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience operating within or leading a privacy compliance program.
• Working knowledge of U.S. state privacy regulations.
• Demonstrated experience with CMP, cookie governance, and web tracking compliance operations.
• Technical understanding of web tracking technologies including tag management systems, cookies and pixel operations, and consent signal architecture.
• Strong cross-functional communication and influencing skills with stakeholders.
• 10%+ travel requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of privacy engineers ensuring operational excellence across CMP ops and cookie scanning.
• Serve as technical SME for the privacy engineering function with architectural guidance to team.
• Oversee privacy technology stack including CMPs, tag management, and privacy library tooling.
• Partner with Data Strategy and Engineering to integrate privacy-enhancing technologies.
• Execute and monitor privacy compliance activities across Cox Automotive and federated teams.
• Lead onboarding for brands and acquisitions into centralized privacy infrastructure.
