Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Privacy Governance Senior Manager to lead a team of privacy engineers and own the privacy engineering program. You will oversee consent management, cookie governance, opt-out mechanisms, and privacy library maintenance, while driving enterprise privacy compliance efforts in collaboration with Privacy Legal, Data Strategy, and Engineering.

The role requires deep privacy technical expertise, strong cross-functional communication, and the ability to operate with autonomy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years in a related field.
• Experience operating within privacy compliance programs.
• Knowledge of U.S. state privacy regulations.
• Experience with consent management platforms, cookie governance, and web tracking compliance operations.
• 10%+ travel requirement.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of privacy engineers across CMP operations, cookie scanning, and privacy library maintenance.
• Provide architectural guidance and maintain technical depth in privacy engineering.
• Oversee privacy tech stack maintenance including CMPs, tag management, and inventory tooling.
• Partner with Data Strategy and Engineering to integrate privacy-enhancing tech into systems.
• Own onboarding of brands and acquisitions into the centralized privacy program.
