Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking a Privacy Governance Senior Manager to lead a team of privacy engineers and drive the privacy program across consent management, cookie governance, and privacy library maintenance.

Collaborating with Legal, Data Strategy, Engineering, and Product, you will embed privacy-by-design into development lifecycles and onboard brands and acquired entities into a centralized privacy infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 8+ years' experience.
• Experience operating within or leading a privacy compliance program.
• Knowledge of U.S. state privacy regulations.
• Experience with CMP, cookie governance, and web tracking.
• Technical understanding of tag management and privacy tech.
• Strong cross-functional communication and program management.
• Willingness to travel 10%+.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of privacy engineers, ensuring operational excellence across cookie categorization, CMP operations, and privacy library maintenance.
• Serve as technical SME for privacy engineering, providing ideation and architectural guidance to reports.
• Maintain technical depth to support continuity and reduce key-person risk.
• Oversee privacy technology stack maintenance, including CMPs, tag management, cookie scanning, and data inventories.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities and contribute to privacy technology investment decisions.
• Partner with Data Strategy and Engineering to integrate privacy-enhancing technologies.
