Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a customer-facing technician to diagnose and repair Canon equipment across field, shop, and on-site settings.

The role emphasizes reliable maintenance practices, adherence to Canon standards, and timely service delivery. Responsibilities include handling Field Service Reports, on-site maintenance, and mentoring less experienced technicians while complying with safety and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing role experience and policy compliance.
• Basic familiarity with internet environments and IT basics.
• Willingness to travel and obtain required clearances.
• Ability to work in a 24/7 environment with shift work and on-call rotations.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must reside in or be willing to work in the United States as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups and basic diagnostics.
• Meet customer demands with efficient, responsive, and accurate Field/Shop/on-site maintenance.
• Maintain Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property assigned.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians when appropriate.
• Offer solutions for escalated technical and/or customer service issues in any territory.
