Job summary

Canon USA is seeking a dedicated Field Service Technician to diagnose and repair Canon equipment at customer sites. The role requires basic technical expertise, the ability to travel, and flexible shift patterns to support 24/7 operations.

You will service and repair equipment to Canon standards, maintain documentation, and assist in on-site maintenance, while interacting with customers to ensure timely, accurate resolutions.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required, plus 1 to 2 years of related experience.
• A basic understanding of internet environments and the ability to complete the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF new-hire class.
• The ability to travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary).
• The capability to work in a 24/7 environment, while performing shift work and on-call rotations.
• Must take steps to obtain required security and/or other clearances to enter customer premises.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups and basic troubleshooting.
• Meet and exceed customer demands with efficient, responsive field/shop/on-site maintenance.
• Maintain all technical information and Canon property and reports.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians and assist with escalated technical and/or customer service issues.
