Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead large, complex infrastructure programs within our Transportation Business Group. You will direct multi-disciplinary teams, advise clients on technical, regulatory, and financial aspects, and drive program execution from planning through delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Administration or a closely related field.
• Program management experience: 10+ years, 4+ years as Senior PM, 3+ programs of $500M+ each
• Licenses/certifications recognized by licensing board (PE, PMP, PgMP, AICP, CCM)
• Leadership skills with experience building a cohesive team across locations
• Experience with alternative delivery methods (DB, PDB, CMAR)
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• Familiar with PMO collaboration and related tools

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects of programs
• Plan, direct, and monitor program execution across multiple disciplines
• Identify issues and risks; provide strategic advice and risk mitigation
• Develop program plans, startup plans, and governance methods
• Direct services by large program teams or mega-project leadership
• Promote team alignment through regular communications
• Secure resources to deliver contracted services
• Monitor QA/QC to meet client expectations
• Monitor financial performance against targets and adjust as needed
• Contribute to growth of HDR's program management services
