Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity. You will advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects, directing planning, design, procurement, and construction activities across multiple locations.

Ideal candidates have a strong PMO background, experience with large capital programs, and familiarity with alternative delivery models, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Administration or closely related field.
• PM experience: senior roles on large programs with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Licenses/certifications: PE, PMP, PgMP, CCM, or AICP.
• Experience delivering programs with large capital values (≥$500M).
• Familiar with alternative delivery methods (DB, PDB, CMAR).

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects of programs.
• Direct program execution across diverse disciplines (planning, design, procurement, construction, etc.).
• Identify risks and issues; provide strategic guidance and mitigation.
• Develop program management plans, startup plans, and governance processes.
• Direct large program teams or mega-projects; ensure contract compliance.
• Foster clear communications and alignment across teams.
• Optimize resources and monitor financial performance against targets.
