Job summary

HDR is seeking a Principal Project Manager to lead flagship infrastructure programs within HDR’s Transportation Business Group. You will guide delivery on complex projects and advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects to ensure success.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in engineering (Master’s preferred), top-tier PM certifications (PMP/PgMP/CCM/PE), 10+ years of program management with three or more programs valued at $500M+, and willingness to travel across the

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or closely related field.
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Sciences, Planning, Business Administration or closely related field.
• Professional licenses/certifications such as PE/P.Eng, PMP, PgMP, AICP, or CCM.
• 10+ years of program management experience with at least 4 years as a Senior Program Manager and programs ≥$500M.
• Experience delivering programs using DB/DBFM/CMAR or similar methods.
• Willingness to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary infrastructure programs with high technical complexity.
• Advise clients on technical, regulatory, financial, and community aspects.
• Plan, direct, and monitor program execution across disciplines.
• Identify risks and provide strategic solutions.
• Develop and implement program management plans and tools.
• Direct services of large program teams or mega-projects.
• Promote team alignment through effective communications.
• Ensure contract compliance and monitor performance.
• Support growth of HDR’s program management services.
