Job summary

enGen is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade digital applications across member experience channels. You will own the full SDLC with a focus on PHI security, authorization, encryption, audit logging, and compliance.

In this role you define service topologies, lead vendor migrations and partner integrations, and write ADRs for leadership reviews. Expect collaboration with security, architecture, and engineering teams in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
Master's degree in CS, Computer Engineering or related field preferred.
9+ years of design/analysis of algorithms and scalable systems.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages and modern tech stacks.

Responsibilities

Lead the resolution of technical and business problems ensuring scalability, performance, security, and robustness.
Generate and implement technical solutions to achieve product features while aligning with project plans.
Explore new technologies and architectural concepts to keep products cutting-edge.
Participate in high-level development estimations to ensure roadmap execution.
Present solutions to team and management to drive technical decisions.
Mentor and lead other software engineers as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
