Job summary

enGen is seeking a visionary Principal Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable, public-facing digital applications across Digital Member Experience channels. You will own end-to-end lifecycle from ideation to deployment, including secure handling of PHI, authorization gates, encryption, audit logging, and compliance.

Lead architecture across client experiences, API gateways, back-end services, data stores, and event pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
• 9 years of proficiency in design and analysis of algorithms, data structures, and scalable, highly available systems.
• 9 years with at least two modern programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica) and experience with three of: React, Angular, NodeJS, NoSQL, HTML5, CSS, AWS/GCP.
• 9 years in REST, HTTPS, JSON web services.
• 9 years with two or more general purpose languages (Java, Python, C/C++, C#, JavaScript, Go).

Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of technical and business problems ensuring scalability, performance, maintainability, security, and robustness.
• Generate and implement technical solutions to achieve product features and monitor progress against plan.
• Explore new technologies and architectural concepts to keep products cutting-edge.
• Participate in high-level development estimations to guide roadmap execution.
• Present solutions to team and management to drive technical adoption.
• Mentor and provide leadership to software engineers.
• Other duties as assigned or requested.
